Trip Overview

The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is a scenic, high-altitude flight designed for travelers who want to experience the Everest region without completing a multi-day trek. The journey normally departs Kathmandu in the early morning and follows a spectacular route toward Lukla, the Dudh Koshi Valley, Namche Bazaar and the upper Khumbu. When visibility permits, passengers can see Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Thamserku, the Khumbu Glacier and the icefall from the air. The operational route may include stops at Lukla and a lower high-altitude site such as Pheriche for refueling, passenger shuttles or payload management. A short landing at an operator-approved Himalayan viewpoint may be attempted only when permitted and judged safe. A landing at Everest Base Camp itself is not promised. The pilot, helicopter operator, current aviation rules, weather, visibility, surface conditions and aircraft performance determine every landing and routing decision.
